Simply Leeuwin

Sammi and I have just come back from spending a couple of days down south in Margaret River to see Simply Red at this year's Leeuwin concert... and it was fantastic! Even though I'm not a huge fan of Mick (my Sammi is a fan from way back so the reason for us going to Leeuwin this year), the concert was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As Sammi said, "Mick definitely did not disappoint!!!".

Sammi and I went to the concert with her sister Tracy (Tracy is another Simply Red fan). When we arrived we couldn't believe the number of people that were there (though we shouldn't have been surprised as it was a sell-out concert), but we managed to wiggle our way through the crowd to secure a nice position on the grass. The weatherman forecast for showers and possible thunder storms for Sunday evening, but thankfully the weather Gods were kind to us and the night was a beautiful balmy summer evening.

As soon as the Mick started to woo the crowd, Sam and Tracy abandoned me to head down to the stage area. So it seemed that I was to be the "bag watcher" for the evening... ha ha! But not to worry, I sat back under the stars, sipped my Leeuwin Estate semillon sauvignon blanc whilst listening to Simply Red. Could life get any better?!
